The Solana derivatives trading market is set for a change-up once Zeta lands on the scene.
Zeta Markets Prepares for Launch
The team at Zeta Markets has set the official date for its mainnet launch on the Solana Network. The long-awaited launch from the grand prize winners of the Solana Summer hackathon will go live at 14:00 UTC on January 17.
The decentralized liquid, non-custodial, and under-collateralized derivatives trading platform announced the news through a press release on January 12. Powered by both Serum and Pyth Network, Zeta Markets will bring a derivatives trading experience to the Solana network that the team claims is “the world’s first options and futures DEX.” With major backers like Alameda Research and Sino Global Capital, its hard to not feel like Zeta will be flooded with liquidity as well.
“We’re excited to bring institutional-grade crypto derivatives trading to the masses. By launching on the Solana Mainnet, institutional investors now have access to traditional financial tools, like undercollateralized trading and portfolio cross-margining, in a familiar but decentralized manner,” Tristan Frizza, Core Contributor to Zeta Markets, said in the press release.“We are thankful for the support we have received from the Zeta community during our testing phase and are looking forward to working alongside them to continue building out Zeta’s offerings.”
Zeta is building out a comprehensive decentralized derivatives trading platform. Additional partnerships with leading derivatives market-makers LedgerPrime and Pattern Research will help bring proved accurate and timely data to users.
“The launch of Zeta Markets on Mainnet is a major step forward not only for us, but for the crypto derivative ecosystem. As the crypto trading landscape matures, investors will need sophisticated derivatives products to properly manage their portfolios and will seek out platforms that operate in a familiar manner in order to get comfortable with the concept of DeFi. Zeta’s open-source nature allows developers to leverage the platform’s native code to enhance their own projects, further facilitating development, growth and innovation on the Solana blockchain,” commented Shiliang Tang, Chief Investment Officer of LedgerPrime.
