Solana Foundation Pilots Bounty Program With Web3 Projects

Drift, Saber, Soocean, and Holaplex are among a growing list of Solana projects to receive a basket of funding for community development.

Four Web3 Projects a Part of the Initial Bounty

The Solana Foundation announced that they are partnering with several projects in the ecosystem to launch a pilot Bounty program on Dec. 13. 

Drift Protocol

Drift Protocol is the first protocol that has been chosen as a part of this bounty program. The protocol has issued an open call for crowdsourcing bounty ideas with over $100,000 in bounties to be earned.

Users can post their best bounty ideas on their canny, i.e. dev guides, libraries, SDKs, dashboards, bots, and explainers. The best ideas out of these will be put out as bounties for 30 days which can then be “buidl” to earn the allocated bounty.


Saber, one of the leading stablecoin DEXs on the Solana blockchain, is the second protocol to announce a bounty program on Dec. 14. The ideas for the bounties could range from improved documents, new dev guides, SDKs, dashboards, how-to guides, and explainer videos.

The protocol has given a timeline of 48 hours from the announcement to give users time to enter their bounty ideas. 

Socean Finance

Socean Finance is a Solana-based protocol that offers risk-free yields. As per data from the protocol’s official website, the protocol has over $103 million in its stake pool with an annual percentage yield (APY) of 6.56%. There is a total of 622k SOL staked on the platform.

Socean has announced a bounty program in partnership with Solana Foundation wherein users can submit bounty ideas on the education and marketing of Socean through article ideas, staking instructional videos, marketing campaign ideas, how-to GIFs, etc. The protocol has opened a Twitter thread for 96 hours, out of which bounties will be selected that will last for 30 days. The rewards on offer are between $10,000 to $60,0000.


Holaplex empowers creators and collectors by building a suite of integrated tools to mint, discover and sell NFTs on the Solana blockchain network powered by Metaplex. The platform has announced a bounty as well for 30 days wherein the best ideas are chosen and approved to be built on further from there.

Solana Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the decentralization, growth, and security of the Solana network, which is headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. The foundation also runs a delegation program where validators can participate as long as they meet certain performance requirements. These participants are eligible to receive a delegation that helps decentralize the Solana network as a whole.
