Solana enters a partnership with MLH in order to get students trained in blockchain technology and also contribute to the Solana network.
Boost For Solana Developer Community
Solana has opened the gates for developers even further with a new partnership that will bring more developers to its ecosystem.
Solana Labs, the technology company behind the Solana blockchain, began a partnership with Major League Hacking on April 17, through which the latter is looking for 60 summer interns for their fellowship program. The fellowship will enable students to contribute to the Solana network, along with getting a mentor, earn a stipend, and interview for various roles in the Solana ecosystem as well.
MLH has 3 different programs, open-source, production engineering, and software engineering. The community-focused organization has collaborated with other companies in addition to Solana Labs, as listed below:
Solana has grown to become one of the most developer ecosystems in 2021. As per Electric Capital’s developer report for 2021, Solana grew 385% in terms of total monthly developers between December 2020 and December 2021 and 313% in terms of full-time monthly developers in the same duration.
What is Major League Hacking (MLH)?
Major League Hacking (MLH) is a student hackathon league that is an engaged maker community that is made up of the next generation of technology leaders and developers. In a bid to put the community first, MLH became a Certified B Corporation in 2016, which entails that they are a for-profit enterprise that is legally required to take into consideration the impact of its decisions on the community and not just its own shareholders. The league has conducted over 200 hackathons that found participation from 65,000 students across 16 countries.
