Solana based blockchain gaming project, Tiny Colony, recently informed its community of an updated mechanic for their upcoming character mint.
The team issued a statement through their official twitter account on April 6 announcing the refined mechanics. Initially, each character will be separated into its own category depending on the colony it belongs to. The team decided to combine all character NFTs into a single pool during the mint.
“We have decided not to separate the Character NFTs into their respective 9 categories during the minting event. To make this fair for everyone, all Character NFTs will be randomized from one Candy Machine,” said the colony management protocol in a twitter thread. “We value transparency while making the right decisions for our community and the project. Our team is working very hard, every day, to deliver an incredible game experience for you.”
The team cited their experience from their recent Colony minting event where some colony types were immediately sold out after minting went live. To give a fair chance for the entire community to be able to get a Character NFT from any colony, the team decided to use a single pool and will adopt a Candy Machine style minting mechanic. Users who will mint an NFT will get a randomly generated one from a set of assets and attributes inside the pool. Rarities of the NFTs will range from common up until legendary.
