The first virtual reality metaverse game based on Solana gets a seed fund led by a trio of investors.
Metaverse on Solana Finds More Investment
Solice, the first virtual reality (VR) metaverse game in the Solana ecosystem, raised $4.6 million in the seed funding round on Dec. 2.
The investment round was co-led by Three Arrows Capital, Animoca Brands, and DeFiance Capital. The additional strategic backers and partners involved in this private funding round are Alameda Research, Solanium Ventures, CMS Holdings, Jump Capital, KuCoin Labs, Genblock Capital, and SkyVision Capital, amongst others.
“Three Arrows is delighted to support Solice, disrupting the Solana ecosystem with a truly immersive VR Metaverse. Blockchain secures the immutability of our connection and access; VR brought us a new immersion that engages our senses. The Metaverse offers a combination of both in what we might call a complete liberation of the human experience,” mentioned Kyle Davies and Zhu Su, the Founders of Three Arrows Capital, in the official Medium blog about the funding round.
“We are excited to lead this fund-raising round for Solice as the leading metaverse VR platform. The metaverse space is poised to grow exponentially going forward, and Christian and team are amongst the most experienced veterans of Virtual Reality we’ve met, we believe they will be able to create a phenomenal and immersive VR user experience in the Solice metaverse,” said Arthur Cheong, Founding Partner, DeFiance Capital about the funding round.
As part of the next steps for the protocol, a portion of the native token’s total supply will be allocated towards public sales for our community members. The public initial DEX Offering (IDO) will be launched on multiple launchpad platforms to allow for easy accessibility for community members to participate.
What is Solice?
Solie is a VR metaverse built on the Solana blockchain network. The team behind the game has a goal of delivering a high-quality immersive experience for users in an environment where they will be able to play, build, own, socialize and monetize their virtual experiences across multiple platforms. The game also intends to have a player center ecosystem that is powered by a “solicious” tokenomic structure.
