CEOs of both projects revealed the details about the partnership at Solana’s ongoing Breakpoint conference in Lisbon.
Solana Becomes Browser Friendly
The privacy-focused browser Brave and Solana Labs announced their partnership at the Breakpoint conference on Nov. 8.
The integration with Brave will enable the Solana decentralized exchange (DEX) swaps within the Solana ecosystem, allowing for support of nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and sending SPL tokens. Additionally, Solana will be enabling the implementation of the Themis Protocol on the blockchain network, which is an important milestone in the BAT 2.0 roadmap.
“With more and more users and creators requiring tools for fast and affordable access to the decentralized Web, this integration will seamlessly pave the way for the next billion crypto users to harness applications and tokens,” stated Brendan Eich, CEO, and Co-Founder of Brave, in the official announcement of the partnership.
There are Solana wallets that are now going mobile. As previously reported by SolanaNews, Solflare has now launched their mobile wallet for both iOS and Android platforms that allow non-custodial storage for tokens in the Solana ecosystem, which can then be stored, staked, and transacted directly through the mobile wallet. In response, Phantom, a Solana ecosystem with over 1 million users, also announced that they will be launching their mobile wallets by January 2022.
