Two giants from the blockchain gaming industry join forces to accelerate GameFi in Vietnam – a developing country experiencing a profound digital transformation.
Top Guild x Top NFT Marketplace
Ancient8—the most prominent gaming guild in Vietnam—partnered with Magic Eden to boost Web3 games on Solana.
The gaming guild announced the partnership with the leading Non-Fungible Token (NFT) marketplace on May 2 via Twitter. On a mission to democratize social and financial access in the metaverse, Ancient8 offers GameFi scholarships and education to Vietnamese players. But to make Vietnam the largest blockchain gaming hub in the region, strong strategic alliances are also required.
“Magic Eden’s enormous growth excites us, and with this dual-pronged partnership, NFTs will be more accessible to users in the ecosystem. This can only benefit everyone as this will increase demand and bolster the liquidity of NFTs,” shared Ancient8’s Head of Strategic Partnerships, Sam Hoang, on their blog.
Magic Eden launched Eden Games in March, a content hub that aggregates Solana-based gaming projects and lets them communicate more effectively with players around the globe. Around the same time, the marketplace announced $27 million in Series A funding to focus on the blockchain gaming sector.
Across the table, Ancient8 raised $4 million in seed funding from leading VC firms—including Coinbase Ventures and Pantera—in January. Paul Veradittakit, Partner at Pantera, said the following:

Both games and individual players have much to gain from each other. Partnerships like these, if implemented efficiently, can bridge the two parts and encourage widespread adoption.
