Explosive Surge: Solana NFTs Eclipse Cardano with 2226.47% Increase in Buyers – Solana Chain News – One Stop News Solution for Solana

Explosive Surge: Solana NFTs Eclipse Cardano with 2226.47% Increase in Buyers

Recent data from CryptoSlam reveals that Solana (SOL) non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are showing impressive performance compared to those on Cardano (ADA).

SOL NFTs Surge in Buyers

In the past 24 hours, Solana’s NFTs experienced a remarkable surge in buyers, totaling 3520 buyers, which represents a staggering increase of 2226.47%. On the other hand, Cardano (ADA) NFTs saw only 1038 buyers during the same period. This surge has propelled SOL NFTs to a prominent 2nd rank on the CryptoSlam platform, while ADA holds the 9th rank.

Sales and Rankings

Despite the impressive surge in buyers, Solana’s NFTs have experienced a slight decline of 5.90% in sales, currently valued at $1,115,372. Meanwhile, ADA NFTs have shown a sales increase of 25.44%, with recorded sales of $162,514. Solana’s NFTs also witnessed a 36.55% ($9,193) rise in wash trading, while ADA experienced a comparatively smaller increase of 20.81% ($3,287).

Expert Perspective

However, not everyone is fully convinced by SOL’s increased numbers. Rick McCracken, lead stake pool operator at Digital Fortress, raised concerns, stating that “Solana transactions are cheap, so the volume is easily faked.” McCracken suggested that the surge in numbers might not accurately reflect a genuine rise in interest towards SOL’s NFTs.

Ethereum Continues to Lead

Despite Solana’s notable surge, Ethereum (ETH) continues to maintain its dominance in the NFT space. Despite an 831.57% drop in NFT sales, ETH still managed to generate $8,929,836 in sales. The Ethereum network attracted a significant number of buyers, with 12,150 recorded within the last 24 hours. Additionally, wash trading for Ethereum is down by 7.75%, currently at $4,151,356.

Coca-Cola’s NFT Collection on BASE

Recently, Coca-Cola introduced an NFT collection on BASE, Coinbase’s Ethereum layer-2 network. This NFT launch was announced as part of Coinbase’s “Onchain Summer” initiative. The collection features a blend of renowned artworks like “The Scream” and “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” along with modern art pieces by Aket and Vikram Kushwah. These are combined with the iconic Coca-Cola bottle, resulting in a unique on-chain collectible. The collection draws inspiration from Coca-Cola’s AI-generated “Masterpiece” advertisement.
