Solice Shows Strength on Solana
Christian Zhang, CEO and Founder of Solice, appeared on the latest edition of the DeFi Direct livestream on YouTube on Dec. 23rd. Zhang and host Greg detailed, in under 45 mins, the dynamic and profound approach to the metaverse taken by Solice.
Solice is looking to become the first cross-platform VR metaverse on the Solana blockchain. Greg and Zhang got deep real fast with the influence and potential that Solice has. Zhang foresees two ways that the metaverse will play out but he wants his team to be ready for anything in this space.
“What we think is that there are two ways to achieve the immersive metaverse experience. One is AR, basically augmented reality, where we bring the metaverse into our life and we interact with it. The other way is VR, immersing ourselves into the virtual world,” Zhang told GoonTrades.
The world that Zhang is referring to is one that he and his team are building out. They work every day in the space with this technology and are at the forefront of some of the most cutting-edge tech around. They are pushing the boundaries and following the capability of tech at this time.
“Basically in one of those two you will be able to build out a second life in that new world. That’s what we’re trying to do with VR, we’re solving the immersiveness because we think AR technology is not as developed,” Zhang said.
Behind the backing of massive VCs like Three Arrows Capital and Defiance Capital, the recent $4 million seed round t was a major boost to the development team, according to Zhang.
Greg and Zhang went through several other topics in the conversation including lands sales on the platform, the development of the Solice ID, and much more. The Solice ID has particular curiosity where users can almost choose their own form KYC to interact with.

Who is Christian Zhang?
Christian Zhang has a crypto-native background getting involved back in 2016. Christian’s experience is from both the institutional as well as the retail investment side. Previous experiences from Fantom, LTO Network, and Solanium have developed his expertise in various aspects. Solice is his vision and he is responsible for designing, mapping out the architectural feature requirements, and building a specialist team to make Solice a successful metaverse.
