The hugely significant participants in Fractal’s seed round are a testimony to the belief that the wider industry has in Fractal and its team.

Fractal Funding Locked in

Fractal has announced the close of a $35 million seed financing round from some of the most significant investors in crypto and gaming.

The team officially announced the news on April 1 through Twitter and Medium, celebrating this milestone moment in their innovative journey. The round was led by Paradigm and Multicoin Capital and saw participation from other investment heavyweights like Andreessen Horowitz, Solana Labs, Animoca Brands, Coinbase Ventures, Play Ventures, and Position Ventures to name just a few from an exhaustive list.

“We’re excited for this group of investors who are fully aligned that blockchain is the future of gaming and can help us make that happen,” Founder Justin Kan stated in the Medium post. “With this new capital, we’ll be focused on building out our engineering team and making the best product possible for gaming companies who want to build around blockchain and turn their games into truly open economies. We think games are how the next 100 million users get onboarded into crypto. LFG.”

In order for games to capture the next 100 million users, Kan will know that the quality of these gaming products must be at an optimum level, which should not be difficult with the current inflow of funding and talent.

Justin Kan does, of course, have a famous history of interacting with the gaming market after seeing Twitch upend the gaming industry’s business model nearly ten years ago now. Blockchain-based assets offer the opportunity for an even bigger change, Kan explains, and who would bet against him.

What is Fractal?
