Fluidity excitedly announces that our Beta is now live on the Solana Devnet! After an amazing Ethereum beta launch, we’d like our community to take part in testing our Solana web app. Prior to using the Fluidity Solana Devnet app, we recommend you follow the tutorial below!
In this tutorial, we will take you step by step on how to utilize our platform, from setting up your wallet to minting fluid assets in our faucet.
What is Fluidity?
Fluidity takes tokens and wraps them at a 1-to-1 ratio while storing the original asset in a lending protocol. The accruing interest is stored in a reward pool with any on-chain purchase being eligible for a reward.
With Fluid Assets, yield is gained through utility. More transactions equal more yield, over time.
Existing decentralised finance incentivises leaving interest-bearing products ”idle” — sitting in an account accruing interest. Through wrapping a variety of assets with Fluid functionalities, we effectively grant utility to what would otherwise be stagnant tokens. This has the added benefit of composability and a change in how we interact with blockchain payments as a whole.
Step 1) Getting a Solana Wallet
For the Solana Devnet, we will be using the Phantom Wallet Extension, you can use any Solana Wallet. Click on the link below and follow the instructions for installation. If you already have the wallet feel free to skip ahead.

- Scroll down until you see “Change Network”
- Select “Devnet” and proceed to step 3
Step 3) Obtaining Devnet Sol
Now that you are on the right network let’s get you some Devnet Sol. You can obtain Sol from the following faucet. (note, if you have a preferred faucet, you are free to use that one).
Important. Fluidity will be on Devnet, so make sure to request Sol from the appropriate network.
Sol Faucet! The premium Solana faucet for all your devnet and testnet needs.
Why does this exist? Because it’s Solana Summer!! I kept wanting to try out all the *awesome new projects* coming out…
Step 4) Obtaining Fluid USDC (ƒUSDC)!
Important. To follow this step, you will need to be signed in to Twitter.
Follow the following link to our faucet: faucet.fluidity.money

From your wallet app, obtain your address and paste it into the address input field. After pressing REQUEST CODE, a new window will pop up with a tweet drafted as follows:

Step 5) You are ready to get Fluid, Solana Edition!
You are all set! Head on over to our Solana Application, where you can wrap and unwrap your fUSDC and send your Fluid assets to other wallets. Try to send it out as many times as you would like and see is win a reward. Note: Just like under the Ethereum Testnet, we have a dedicated channel for users to share their Sol address under “sol-wallet-addresses.”
