CryptoSlate Daily wMarket Update – Nov. 17: Solana prints losses in mute market performance

The wMarket Update condenses the most important price movements in the crypto markets over the reporting period, published 07:45 ET on weekdays.

Over the last 24 hours, the cryptocurrency market cap saw net inflows of around $8 billion and currently stands at $836.19 billion as of press time — up 0.98% from $828.16 billion on Nov. 17.

Bitcoin’s market cap increased by 1% to $322 billion from $318.5 billion. Ethereum’s market cap rose by 1.28% to $149.1 billion from $146.8 billion.

The top 10 cryptocurrencies all recorded minor gains over the reporting period. The only outlier was Solana which lost 4.48%. BTC and ETH rose by 0.91% and 1.23%, respectively.

Over the reporting period, the market cap of Tether (USDT) remained flat at $65.9 billion, while the market caps of USD Coin (USDC) and BinanceUSD (BUSD) decreased to $44.09 billion, and $22.9 billion, respectively.

Bitcoin

In the last 24 hours, Bitcoin gained 0.91% to trade at $16,733 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance remained flat at 38.5% over the reporting period.

During trading hours, BTC peaked at $16,947 and bottomed at $16,479. Market participants are still trading cautiously due to the fears of contagion.

Ethereum

ETH increased by 1.23% in the last 24 hours, trading for $1,215 as of 07:00 ET. Its market dominance remained at 17.8% over the reporting period.

ETH hit a local top of $1,226 during the last 24 hours and bottomed at $1,189.
